BOYS NIGHT...Happy Father's Day!

For Father's Day, Owen gave Daddy a Boys Night...camping gear! I set it all up and they had a camp out in the back yard. It was so cute!!! I had so much fun getting it ready and they had a great father/son night. Now they didn't last too long because it's SO HOT but there will be many more back-yard camp out's to come. I love that Baker and Owen are best friends! (NOTE Liza Baker had a great gift for daddy too..some cool new shorts and some other great gifts:)

The pics say it all....

Blessed

I am taking a minute to stop and thank God for my family and for good health. Yes, we have had a rough week with sick kids and other minor things but it's nothing compared to the hard times that others that we know and even people we don't know have gone through. I am so blessed to have such a great family and such wonderful friends.

Travel and Summer Fun Pics

I am SO bad at this!!

Ok...time to play catch up! It's been so long since I have posted! Let's see...what have we been up to?? EVERYTHING! Since I last posted we have been to South Carolina, see all the GRANDS, to Texas, back to SC, to Rome (Georgia), to Nashville, back to Atlanta.... Whew! Owen had his first visit to Roxboro for 9 DAYS by himself for a week with my family and he had a GREAT time and I missed him like crazy!!! I drove him to SC where his Mimi lives (Baker's Mom). We met my mother there and she took him to NC where he spent a week there with my family. I did good but I missed him so much it hurt!!! He had a ball!! Baker, Liza Baker and I went to San Antonio where Baker had a conference. LB did GREAT on that trip...she was an angel! San Antonio was fun by not my favorite place I have ever visited. We came back then drove to SC to pick up Owen. My dad, Aunt Mary Liz and my Grandmother drove him back down. Baker's mother's house is a great half-way point from here to my family. I still can't believe I went that long without my Peanut! We came back to Tally for a couple of days then it was time for what would be a long, but FUN road trip to Nashville. Joe and Elaine just moved there and their little angel, Addie, turned a year old and we went to visit. Lisa, the BEST Godmother EVER went with me and the kids. We left on a Thursday and stopped for a night in Rome and visited with Big Daddy (Baker's dad) then headed to Nashville. We were there until Sunday, then headed back via Atlanta where we stayed the night with our good friends Amanda and Johnny. We were finally back in town that following Monday.
With a 28 month old and at the time, an 11 week old these are the lessons I have learned...
1. Just can't do road trips longer than about 3-4 hours alone!
2. Walmarts are GREAT stops on road trips! There is a Subway in them and
Owen can play and run around in toy section and i can sit and feed LB.
3. Do EXTENSIVE, better research on hotels...the hotel we originally reserved in Nashville was SO GROSS!!!! We had to re-load car and move to another one!!! (also, the new hotel messed up and only had us down for one night instead of 2 so we had to move down the hall the second night. Between that and the stops in Rome and Atlanta, we slept in 4 different beds in 4 nights!
4. Take Lisa on trips with you...she is the BEST!!! buy her lots of pancakes!!!

We were able, while on that trip, so see so many great people! We saw Big Daddy and the friends at his work. We saw Elaine, Joe and Addie and their family. We saw our friends, Brent and Chaisty and their boys. We say Baker's Cousin Mary Elizabeth and then Amanda and Johnny.

NOW we are potty training Owen...harder than I thought:) He is doing GREAT it's just going slow. I am sure I have missed a million things but as it comes to me I will post.
